Physical Description: Griswold has the physical appearance of a teenage boy in his mid teens who engages in regular daily excercise.
Mutant Abilites: Geokinetic control via psychic emanation.
Like the X-man known as Rockslide, Griswold no longer has a physical body, but is instead a Psychic Entity that can manipulate and control the very earth. Griswold is capable of not only forming himself from any earth based material, but is also able to psionically control it, be it sand, stone, diamond, etc.; Additionally, Griswold can alter the earthen elements he encounters. One example being that he can a piece of carbon and shift it to any point on the carbon spectrum, making it as soft as coal or as hard as diamond.
Secondary to this Griswold can control the earth based elements even when influenced by outside forces such as heat, cold, water, etc., upto and including state changes.
Like his father, Griswold can add to his mass, thereby increasing his strength and capabilities. However unlike his father, Griswold does not seem to be hindered by this in terms of mental compacitiy. He can continually ad to his body to a seemingly limitless size. This not only possess a threat to any who face him, but to psychics as well. As Griswold's mass increases, so does the size of his Psychic Mass, increasing in size to match his physical body. This makes him a harder opponent as his physic self is vast and spread over a finite distance as it can potentially control millions of particles of earth (similar to how a reborn Tom Cassidy could grow his plant body yet not have a single focal point for his consciousness). It is for this reason that Griswold is considered an Omega Class mutant as there is a potential for limitless growth.
Should Griswold's physical form ever be dispersed, he can reform it over time like his father could. Additionally, because his Psychic form can be spread over so much area, should it be dispersed it will over time come back together. This has resulted in apparent immortality.
At present, Griswold however is limited to his sand based form, lacking the control, skill, and focus to achieve such extreme levels.
Very little is known of Griswold's early life, only that he was adopted at the age of 4 from an Foster home. One fateful day at the age of 12 while outside playing at a park, Griswold was being bullied by several older boys. Beat and bloody he was knocked back into a nearby sandbox, and upon contact with the sand his body began to 'melt' into it. His emotions of both anger and fear overwhelming him he reacted, and created a sandstorm, the sand particles of the box that now composed his new body swarming over the boys. Luckily no one was severely hurt by the incident. Upon reconstituting himself, Griswold and his adoptive parents were approached by a representative from the Xavier Institute... thus another one 'bites the dust' and joins Mutant High.
