Physical Description: Caleans has the physical appearance of a young man who engages in regular daily excercise. His spine is always cover in layered metal panels; this is the main area of armor projection.

Mutant Abilites: Caleans body can shift forms, turning into a dinosaur-like being possessing enhanced strength, speed, durability, and agility.

Bio-synthetic Symbiote

Originally thought to be Calean's mutation, the suit of armor that Calean generates from his spine is in actuality a symbiote of unknown origin. The Bio-synth armor/symbiote is made from a crystalline structured, reinforced metallic substance analogous to Osmium. It is reminiscent of Osmium given it's static crystalline structure; however this structure is in constant flux, moving and shifting as if alive. Under intense magnification one can observe damaged area's of the structure repair itself on a molecular level. Initially in his early years the armor was attached to the bones of Calean's spine, seeming to have grown out of them. Over the years and thanks to persistent use, the armor itself is hardwired directly into Caleans nervous system and fused to his spine in such a way that his very spinal column is 80% bio-synth metal, giving him an indestructible spine. Due to this bonding, Calean has total control over the armor, which allows for him to cover parts of his body randomly and not as a whole.

Armor Composition and Generation

Caleans armor is composed of a molecular reinforced crystaline structured Osmium like material that is super dense. When viewed under intense magnification, the structure appears to be in flux, constantly moving and shifting within itself. It is this state of flux that gives the armor it's unique durability and ability to regenerate itself, constantly repairing itself on a molecular level.

Outside of his armor, the most distinguishing feature Calean has is a series of overlapping metal plates that cover his spine starting from the base of his skull to the tailbone. These plates are points of generation for the armor. Under a high speed film test, it has been determined that it takes 1/3000 of a second for his armor to cover his body.

Bioluminescent Plasma

Calean's armor has a secondary component not seen. When Calean activates his armor it is filled with a bioluminescent plasma that has varying and unique properties. The plasma is highly susceptable to varying levels of pressure. Under high pressure the plasma takes on a blue glow, and has monderately high levels of regenerative power. This effects both organic and inorganic materials. Most notably in this state the plasma can stabilze and put objects or persons in a state of stasis, effectively freezing time. Under low levels of pressure the plasma takes on a bright, gold colored glow. In this state the material is highly corrosive and combustible, capable of causing severe damage. It is currently unclear as of to how this plasma is created or where it comes from.

Resistances

Caleans armor is unique and protects him from all forms of damage. The chart below shows his resistance to various types of attacks based on a scale of 1 to 10 (1 being minimal, 10 being invulnerable). It should be noted that these are base level resistances and does not take into account the varying skill level and power amongst mutants. Mutants with excessively high power levels have a greater chance of harming the armor/Calean. As seen in a battle with the Hulk, Calean was hit hard enough for concussive fordce to travel through the armor and to hurt Calean's physical body. This was noted the day after the battle by large bruise area's on his body and strained muscles.

Origin:

Calean is an average joe from an average family. His parents divorced when he was 5, causing some subconscious resentment, which in turn may have given birth to a second personality named Cyrus. Cyrus is extremely aggressive and forceful, and currently has full control of Caleans mutant ability. Caleans powers first manifested during an argument with his parents. Cyrus, tired of Calean giving into his parents ways, activated Caleans armor. As Caelan stormed from the room, he swung at the wall and tore scratch marks into it. Then Cyrus took control of the body and attacked his step-mother causing her to be hospitalized for deep laceration wounds. Calean was kicked out by his father. From this point on when Cyrus emerges, the body transforms into the synth-armor. Having no idea how to control his powers, Caelan could only watch helpless as the other personality did what it wanted. Cyrus Seems to have a natural control of Caleans powers, as if he already knew how to use them.

Now homeless, Calean wondered looking for a place to stay. Having no money or means to take care of himself, Cyrus, using Caleans powers began to terrorize local business, stealing and inflicting pain on those he wanted. Calean became frightened and confused and had no way of stopping Cyrus. After a story aired on the news about a mutant terrorizing a small town in Connecticut, a mutant approached Calean telling him about Xaviers school and how he could be helped.

While at the Mansion...

Recently, Calean has discovered how to control his armor, learning that it is a physical trigger. By compressing his diaphragm, the part that is attached to the spine causes the armor to project outwards from its home there. Cyrus, having known this all along, has taken to the habit of causing trouble for Calean, framing him on numerous occassions. Assualt on both students and teachers has landed him in the Mansions detention level under a maximum security lock down for a period of just over 2 months. After much persuading and questioning by his girlfriend Eleanor Rigby and several teachers, Calean has finally confessed to the existence of Cyrus. Freed from prison, he helped defend the mansion from the first wave of protestors that breached the gates at the command of Reverend Price. After successfully fending off the threat with the help of Psylocke, Havok, Nate Grey, Nightcrawler, Dragon, Ariana, Angel, and Ewan MaCloud, Havok congratulated Calean, and will be recommending to Prof. Xavier that Calean be placed on a team to further his skill, experience, and his effectiveness in combat situations.

But things aren't always peaceful at the mansion, and an attack by a robot of unknown origin attacked the mansion, in the process kidnapping Eleanor Rigby. This set Calean into a spiral of anger and hatred, the only person he cared for taken. During this time of hatred, he became a member of the newly formed X-Factor under the command of Alex Summers, AKA Havok, hoping the team would find her. At some point, a second attack was launched on the Mansion by the protestors and the AMTF. While defending the mansion yet again, a device was used on the X-men that disabled there mutant abilites. This inturn led to the emergence of a massive psionic entity from Caleans mind. It was Cyrus, however in his true form, that of former Syndicate leader Damon Sokol. Upon regaining his powers, the psionic entity returned onto Calean, sending him into a comatose like state where not even his mind was present. While in this state, Eli returned, besheveled, and with no memory as of to what happened during her dissapearance. Eli was distraught when she found out that Calean was comatose. But, to her luck, Calean returned, the true conciousness of Damon restored.

With Damon's full emergence, his dormant powers having surfaced, granting Calean the use of Damons vast telekinetics and telepathic powers as well as energy manipulating abilities. Caleans eyes also continually bleed off psionic energy, giving them a continual blue glow, his iris's and pupils not seen. During this time Calean got to know Damon, his life, and the person he truly was. Fearful that they would remain "stuck" together, Damon made arrangements for Calean to take over Damons fortune he aquired in his past. Over night Calean inherited 7 million dollars. For a time Calean and Damon found a peaceful coexistance together, Damon taking the time to search his own memories to find out just what happened to him, Calean having the chance to play with some rather unique and extremely fun powers.

Before both Calean and Damon knew it though Damon would find his answers. While out walking one day with Nate Grey's girlfriend Amelia Pratt, Calean showed her his armors and how it worked. In the process of showing her Calean tripped and cut Amelia's side with his talons. The sudden shock of pain that Amelia felt was in turn felt by Nate prompting him to respond with anger. Quickly rushing to Amelia's side he attacked Calean, knowing the boy's history. The battle needless to say was rather one sided and short.Using his telekinetics Nate tossed Calean around, smashing him into the ground over and over; if not for his Armor, Calean would have been pulverized. Attacked so viciously, Calean went on the defensive and as he was dropped back into the ground by Nate, the ground collapsing around him, Calean deactivated his armor and called on Damon's massive telekinetic powers. With an explosion of energy he burst from the ground in a fiery telekinetic aura. Preparing to attack Nate, Calean began to activate his armor. Reacting with the speed of though, Nathan was ready and reaching out with a telekinetic hold, he froze Calean in place, stopping his armor in mid activation, the back plates that his armor generating from held open.

This manuever had two unforseen side effect on Calean. With the armor stuck in midtransformation Calean's body was thrown into a form of stasis, utterly paralyzed both mentally and physically. Secondly however, this unintention breach in Calean's armor allowed for Damon's conciousness to escape Calean's body, no long being held in by Calean's armor. With Calean's body laying on the ground immobilized, A massive burst of energy eurputed from him, revealing the contained psionic essense of Damon Sokol. Being free for the first time in a long time, Damon instantly knew that his former body was alive. Much to his dismay though he realized it was in great distress and in grave danger. now, hovering before Nathan, he quickly flooded Nate's mind with information, letting him know the situation they faced. Understanding perfectly, and givign Nathan little choice, Damon's essense merged with Nathan, impowering him more so than he already was. Together they then left, leaving Amelia and Calean. Calean, paralyzed at Amelia;s feet, and far to heavy for her to move, had but one option... she ran back to the mansion for help. In short order Calean was brought to the infirmary where he was examined. To all outward appearances he seemed fine with the exception of the metal plating on his back being at a 90 degree angle. It was surmised that with his armor not being allowed to activate it put Calean into a stasis, and the only way to fix it was to force the plates closed.

Closing the plates on his back would prove no easy task due to the near indestructable and immovable nature of the armor. Thusly, the X-man Colossus was summoned, and using his super strength he carefully forced the overlapping plates back into their closed position. Once all the plates were realigned Calean snapped awake, his first reaction that of if he was still in combat with Nathan. Indeed, perfect stasis.
